Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn, born 19th August, 1965 is an American actress. She is most famous for playing the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended on August 13, 2012, after the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for a Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian. She was also of English heritage. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and participates in Passover meal times.
